PR Internship with Drew Michael Taylor Foundation Summary

From December, 2008 through May, 2009, I was an intern for the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation of Shippensburg, PA. During those five months, I was primarily responsible for helping with various stages of event planning, creating new promotional materials, updating existing fliers and brochures, and manning the information tables at various programs and events as a representative for the foundation.

The Drew Michael Taylor Foundation is a private, non-profit organization created in 2006 by Randy and Marcie Taylor after the loss of their son, Drew. They are busy year round with projects honoring Drew’s memory and helping children in need. They achieve this vision with monetary donations, help from friends, family, and support of volunteers. The foundation has created various programs including grief and loss support groups, scholarships, awards, recreational and educational opportunities for families of the community. It’s really quite amazing.
